Intolerance vs allergy
The terms intolerance and sensitivity both refer to a reaction triggered by the body’s digestive system and are often used interchangeably. However, the meaning of an allergy is quite different. Simply Sensitivity Checks provide sensitivity tests but not allergy tests.
Whilst an intolerance or sensitivity may cause irritable, uncomfortable or often embarrassing symptoms, an allergy is much more serious and involves a body’s immune response that can in some extreme cases be life threatening.
It is important to note that our tests cannot identify allergies and we always recommend seeking medical advice if your symptoms are severe.
